(DE) Workshop Medieval Music at Castle Burg Fürsteneck (Oct. 29-31, 2010)
Published: Feb 04, 2010 - 06:20 AM
Academy Burg Fürsteneck in Germany offers a workshop “Resonances of Medieval Music” October, 29 to 31, 2010. This year, the subect is the “Cyprus codex”.
The course is aimed primarily at more experienced musicians who have mastered their instrument or their voice. Knowledge in modern notation are prerequisite. A part of the repertoire is made available before the course starts.
Particularly welcome are the more "softer" historic, medieval instruments, such as lutes, fiddles, harps, flutes ... and of course, always singing. But modern instruments participation is possible. Please make sure to note your instrument and playing experience with the registration information.
You find the description of the workshop here http://www.burg-fuersteneck.de/kultur/kurs_3324.htm , but only in German ;-) though the teachers Marc Lewon and Uri Smilansky speak very well in English.
