(CA) EarlyMusicNews.ca: "Submitters' Best Practices"
Recently some have questioned on how to get on EarlyMusicNews.org “News” pages. While the answer to this may mean a little more chronicling of your activities on your website or of taking advantage of more photo opportunities (serious or candid) of your group, the end result may be gaining more “web presence” and gaining greater recognition of your achievements.
In the latest addition to the FAQ, I have tried to outline some suggestions on how you could make your site more “media friendly” in your favour. Feel free to follow the link if you are interested in contributing to this site OR you may be just curious and would like to read/add/share your comments -- Submitters - Website Best Practices

(CA) Forthcoming "EarlyMusicNews.org" Server Updates -- Please Update Your Links
In the next few days, there will be a website server upgrade which will bring some performance improvements and website growth options. Our apologies for any disruptions that may occur, if any.
How will this affect you?
For most of the visitors to this site, you will not see any apparent differences except for perhaps a speed increase in the way the pages are served to you. HOWEVER, where it will affect others are those who have linked to this site using its “http://www.MusiqueAncienne.org“ domain name. This domain will still re-direct you to this site, HOWEVER, the correct link to the site should be corrected to reflect the correct new server domain name: “http://www.EarlyMusicNews.org“.
If you have added us to your weblinks pages, please review the website address and correct these changes if necessary.
With many thanks for your patience,

(US) Four Easy Tips for Preserving Your Digital Photographs
With the many different early music ensembles, groups, associations etc. on our weblinks making use of photos on their sites or newsletters, I thought it would be worthwhile to read through this article on preserving digital photographs.
“Digital preservation is the set of management processes that ensure the long-term accessibility of digital information. At NDIIPP we deal with these issues on a grand scale, working to ensure the nation’s (”USA” -- ed.) valuable digital cultural heritage survives for the long-term benefit of all.

(DE) La Danza München: Seminar "Con Gratia e Decoro" (20-22 apr 2012)
Location: Pension Schreiber, Benediktbeuern DE
“Grace (gratia) and decency, dignity (Decoro), in previous centuries were the most important virtues of the dance of courtly society. The aristocratic dance had always the function of representation; the representation of oneself in the eyes of the spectators who were themselves connoisseurs and experts of the matter. The movement style that sprang from it is characterized by highly varied steps, extreme subtlety and nuance. The sensation is, so to speak, in detail.

“Johann Rosenmüller, though born in Germany, worked in Venice as one of the successors of Monteverdi. His vespers music is equally glorious to Monteverdi's own on a grand scale, and his smaller scale music displays some of the finest instrumental virtuosity and melodic fluidity of the 17th century. Pre-concert lecture (included in ticket price) and other related events (Chant Camp with Susan Hellauer of Anonymous 4) will be announced at a later date.”
