Teaming up with La Belle Danse baroque dance company, we are transported to the court of Louis XIV. Breathtaking period costumes combine with the most beautiful and virtuosic dances of the baroque era, carefully chosen from the masterworks of Lully, Campra and others in a celebration of French culture.
Discover the unique connection between baroque music and its well known dance forms, and witness the exploration of centuries-old documents come to breathing, glittering life. Meet fascinating personages, from the Sun King himself to mythological figures from the pages of the most celebrated french operas and ballets from Apollo to Armide. The compelling "inner life" of 17th and 18th century choreographies reaches across time.
